Comic Relief Red Nose Day – Friday 13th March 2015
The first Red Nose Day was launched back in 1988. It was set up as a way of getting across the messages about issues that affect many people and to help those living tough lives in the UK and Africa. "Do something funny for money" has been the catchphrase for the past few years, in an attempt to get people doing crazy things in order to raise sponsorship money.
From 7pm on the BBC channels, One and Two, Comic Relief will take over. This year is the first year that it will be broadcast from the London Palladium.
The event is run every two years and 2013’s total funds raised was a staggering £100,331,808.
