Mimi has a new pony called Cody. She has had him broken in and now they are about to embark on their learning journey. Despite Cody’s initial hesitation on arriving at the Pony Club – and seeing so many other horses and ponies – he soon realises Pony Club is going to be a lot of fun. Mimi and Cody throw themselves enthusiastically into learning new things, the start of many exciting adventures together.

In the second book of the series, Author Michelle Path has created an absorbing short story, perfect for the aspiring young rider. Her first-hand knowledge of horses is beautifully complemented by artist Naya Ivashchuk, whose illustrations bring to life Michelle’s twin passions of writing and riding, and will captivate adult and child alike.

New one review witch 2017

Mimi has a pony called Cody. She’s had him since he was two-years-old. They have been learning lots together and having weekly riding lessons. Now it’s time to go to Pony Club where they will learn new skills, as well as meet new people and other ponies too.

Cody is nervous about going to the club, but he knows he will be okay as he has Mimi.

I love Michelle Path’s children’s books, they are all so beautifully written and illustrated. I’m a firm believer that children need illustrations to help them make a connection with a story. This one has such elegant drawings by artist Naya Ivashchuk, they certainly bring the story to life.

Cody the Pony Goes to Pony Club is a sweet book that has a lovely tale of a friendship between Mimi and her pony, Cody. The pair clearly loves one another. A wonderful short story that I can see children, especially those that love ponies/horses will adore.
