1) Where did the inspiration for your book come from?

It was a really random occurrence. I was on a run, and the image popped into my mind of soldiers running away from a Hive mind alien. That turned into a further thought where I imagined what it would be like if one of the soldiers tried to use an emp to disable the aliens weapons, and then it turns out that one of the soldiers is actually an android, which would have been a twist that I didn’t end up going with.

2) How did you plan out the plot?

I usually start off with a few sentences of the major beats. I then later turn those few sentences into a multi paged outline until I come up with something that I like. Once I start writing some things change from the outline that I had, as often I discover that changes are made based on what might feel natural to the characters.

3) When did you choose the title for your book?

Right at the start.

4) How did you come up with the names for your characters?

I try to find names that have meaning that in some ways have to do with the arc of that character.

5) What made you choose this genre?

I choose this genre mostly because I wanted to write something fun, where I could pack in action, humor, and an element of mystery

6) How long did it take you to complete your book?

It took two years.

7) Can you describe your book in three words?

Exciting, Concise, Humorous

8) What’s the hardest part of being a writer?

The sheer amount of work it takes for a pursuit that in the end there is no guarantee of success.

9) Why should our readers pick your book up?

To find themselves on an adventure
