The clock is ticking. Can he pull off the world’s most amazing Promposal and recapture the girl he loves?
Review by Selina
At the beginning of Promposal, we meet sixteen-year-old Luca Esposito, who is still in high school. He enjoys having fun with his friends and has found himself in detention, again.
Luca dumped his now ex-girlfriend Piper Kraft a year ago and they haven’t spoken since. When Luca hears that Piper is selling her Prom tickets, he is egged on by his friends to ask her to go with him even though they are no longer together. He feels guilty that Piper will miss her Prom so agrees.
This starts a mission on Luca’s part to embarrass himself and get Piper to agree. Costing himself money and fighting in the process. Can Luca win back Piper even if it’s just for one night?
Promposal is told from Luca’s POV as he tries to win Piper back, complete with the backstory of how they first met. The story is full of 90s nostalgia, with all the feels, surroundings, and descriptions of the 1990s. I was certainly taken aback and it was nice to revisit a time when there were no mobile phones.
This was an ideal quick read filled with teen romance and was a refreshing change to my normal genres. The book will leave you smiling and keep you happy throughout.
I enjoyed the read from beginning to end and I am now looking forward to the sequel.
