Synopsis

Celebrate King Charles III’s coronation with this hilarious story jam-packed with royal pants from the author of the award-winning, bestselling, funny family favourite The Queen’s Knickers!

The King cannot rule without his Royal Pants. He has a pair for every occasion: coronation pants (he can’t be crowned without them), organic pants (edible in royal emergencies) and even inflatable space-pants (because one never knows when they might come in handy). But in a boxer-shorts blunder at the Royal Mail, the King’s undies have been posted to his subjects nationwide! With his Y-fronts gone wandering, how will the King possibly cope?

Review by Stacey

The King’s Pants is a tongue-in-cheek book about our new King – Charles III and his underwear.

After it gets mixed up with a Royal Mail package, the King orders more pants to be made. All sorts of pants, including one with a drawbridge and edible ones too for if he becomes stuck on a desert island.

The book is pure silliness from beginning to end and will definitely have the kiddies giggling. The illustrations are spot on and show the new King in all kinds of situations that his new pants help him in. I especially love the last page about children asking him about his pants if they meet him.

Overall, this is a quick, fun, laugh-out-loud book that I can see children loving so much they ask for it to be read over and over again.
