Let’s sit down on the bench next to Berenice Mulubah and ask a few questions about her blog: C Liberia Clearly Blog

Welcome Berenice, can you tell us a little about yourself, and your blog?

My name is Berenice Mulubah, founder and CEO of C Liberia Clearly blog. I am also the author of ‘Purple Honey Lips’ and ‘Landing Safely On A Solid Rock’, songwriter, poet and Publicist. C Liberia Clearly is an entertainment blog, emphasizing on Liberian entertainment news and gossip.

How long have you been blogging for?

I have been blogging for 4yrs and 8 months.

What inspired you to start a blog, and why did you choose your chosen subject?

I have a passion for creative writing. Blogging is a fast and convenient way to do just that. I chose Liberian Entertainment News and Gossip because of the lack of information on the internet about the Liberian entertainment industry.

The Liberian Entertainment industry needs the service and I believe if there is a need and you can provide the service, turn that service into a business. The need is there, I decided to provide the service.

Is this your first/only blog?

C Liberia Clearly, is my first blog and my only professional blog. I have two other blogs as a habit.

How much time do you spend on your blog per week?

Oh goodness, I live and breathe my blog. I spend about six hours a day during the week and more during the weekends.

What’s the best bit about being a blogger?

Blogging comes with a lot of insanity, it is not as easy as it looks, but it also has a lot of perks. I do get a lot of free products, attend free events and most importantly, I get paid.

What’s the most frustrating thing?

Finding good contents, especially for my industry. The Liberian Entertainment Industry is not widely known yet, therefore it is not a popular search subject. Finding those enticing content for a subject that is not in demand is so very hard.

Editing is also a bomber for me. I love to write and tell stories and I do it creatively, but going back to dot those I’s and cross those T’s is frustrating. Just dealing with grammar is time consuming. Sometimes, it’s lack of knowledge and have to take the time to research, because I was too busy drawing flowers in my note books for stories I wrote, that I didn’t pay attention in grammar class as I should’ve.

Do you find that bloggers support one another?

I am a little new to the bloggers networking community. I can’t make a fair judgement call right now. So far, I’m on the fence, but I think we should support each other wholeheartedly. I think if you take the time to network, you will get the support from our comrades.

Do you tell people when you meet them, or friends and family that you are a blogger?

Yes I do. Blogging is my world, I can’t afford not to tell.

Can you remember your very first post?

Hahahaha, yes. My first post was actually about relationship. It was written in the form of a short story.

What do you wish someone had told you about blogging at the start of your journey?

I wish I knew that there is a lot of Psychology that goes into blog. To find great content, you have to constantly be in the heads of your followers, just to understand what intrigues them. Hard work.

Is there any advice that you would like to give people who are thinking about becoming a blogger, and those just starting out?

Content is everything. You have to stay on the hustle for contents that will lure folks to your blog. It is time consuming but it is pleasurable if you have the passion. Know your followers, understand their needs, not their want.

What’s next for your blog, any big ambitions for it?

I am in the process of branding. I will also be kicking off an awareness campaign shortly.

Apart from your blog where else can we find you on the internet?
