For over 30 years the original Ghostbusters movie has been giving fans of all ages laugh-out-loud thrills and chills. Now, for the first time ever, boys and girls ages 3 to 7 can enjoy the classic Ghostbusters in a lighthearted Little Golden Book retelling that will introduce them to Slimer, Ecto-1, and, of course, the Ghostbusters!

Review 2020 red

If you were a fan of the 80s classic movie Ghostbusters and fancied having a book that represents the film, then here you are! The book is marketed at children but I can see quite a few fans of the movie or 80s kids wanting this book too.

The plot is that of the movie, four ghostbusters trying to save New York from all the ghostly happenings that have been occurring lately, as well as Peter trying to save his love interest Dana from the clutches of Gozer.

The story is very short but the author has managed to include most of the main scenes from the movie. The artwork is spectacular and illustrator Alan Batson has certainly captured the essence of the movie in artform.

I enjoyed the book and I am now looking at the other 80s movies that have been turned into books – feels strange to say in that way around. I think this book would be wonderful for children and grown-ups. It would also make a great Secret Santa or small Christmas present if you are looking for ideas, especially as at the time of writing this book was under £4.00.
