The book I would say is for the younger end of middle-grade readers as the tale is more for youngsters but there is a lot of text and pages to get through.

The storytelling of the well-loved children’s author Michael Rosen comes across beautifully with this well-crafted plot. It contains plenty of humour and fun between the pages and it was lovely to see how caring the animals could be, especially Gaston who really just wanted to go on the adventure alone but couldn’t deprive the others of company and excitement.

Overall, The Incredible Adventures of Gaston le Dog is a sweet children’s book that will keep the reader occupied for a while as they follow Gaston on his travels. It is intriguing and engaging. Plus, contains a few lovely black-and-white illustrations that bring the words to life.
