synopsis of a witch Perfect Weddings

Every bride wants a perfect wedding and that includes Georgina Winters. Amy Perfect is the crème de la crème of wedding planners so who best to plan Georgina’s wedding… except the man Georgina plans to marry is the same man who jilted Amy three years ago.

Will her plan to give Georgina the most imperfect wedding backfire on her? Is this the chance for Amy to win back the love of her life, or will insufferable Ben Garret put a spanner in the works?

Arab princes, spoilt brides and wedding catastrophes make Perfect Weddings a page-turning romantic comedy that will keep you guessing until the very last page.

Review of a witch

When life knocked down Amy Fisher in the cruellest of ways, she got up, dusted herself down, lost a few pounds and reinvented herself as Amy Perfect, owner of ‘Perfect Weddings’, wedding planning business.

Perfect Weddings is an exceptionally sort after business, as every bride wants Amy Perfect as their wedding planner.

When one such bride happens to be marrying Amy’s ex, Amy agrees to take her on as a client, but not so much as to help her plan her wedding, more like to help destroy her wedding, so that she can get her ex back.

Whilst trying her best to sabotage Georgina’s wedding day, Amy starts to lose control, affecting other parts of her life and other brides. Throw in a Prince that wants her as his lover, even though he has three wives, and Georgina’s best man, journalist Ben, who doesn’t exactly see eye to eye with Amy over the wedding planning and thinks Amy’s rates are extortionate, Amy’s life starts to get complicated in every possible way.

‘Perfect Weddings’ is a feel-good, hilarious tale of one woman who is determined to help every bride have the best and most fabulous wedding that they could ever imagine, as she seems to think that she will never have that perfect wedding of her own.

Amy is meticulous and always in control, well was, until Georgina, her ex’s soon to be wife, turned up. She is fun, wacky and completely barmy – hence I liked her a lot!

The book is a laugh out loud, feel good book that has some fantastic characters who all bring an added sparkle to the story, especially cockney Chardonnay, who’s accent I heard clearly every time she spoke. She reminded me of a younger Peggy from Eastenders.

Journalist and best man, Ben had me in stitches at times as he and Amy bounced off each other, whilst at the same time I could have wrung his neck for always seeing the worst in her, especially when most of the time it wasn’t Amy’s fault that she ended up in some strange situations that looked bad.

Perfect Weddings is a delightfully fun read that kept me entertained and amused from the start, and I hope to see more of Amy soon.
