Finished Recently – The Doughnut King by Jessie Janowitz
Tris Levin thought moving from New York City to middle-of-nowhere Petersville meant life would definitely get worse…only it actually got better. But just when things are looking up, problems start rolling in.

Death and the Harlot and The Enquiry both sound like books I would really enjoy! I haven’t really read anything like The Enquiry before (spy thriller? Is that a sub-genre?) but the summary is definitely intriguing!
I’ve read a couple of spy thrillers. I think it is a slight variation on main thrillers.
Death and the Harlot sounds interesting although I’ve read quite a few historical crime mysteries recently so it would need to have something special to stand out. I hope it does and you enjoy it!

It is really good. The main characters voice comes across strong and enjoyable.

The Doughnut King was a really great book. The main character is only 12 but he seems so much older. Also includes recipes which is always a bonus.
