Goodbye to 2016
Goodbye to 2016
Well it’s the last day of what for me personally has been a roller coaster of a year.
I’ve had some really dark moments, my dad died three months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, followed by some magical moments, the hubby and I went on holiday for a week to New York. We finally got a honeymoon, only thirteen years after we got married.
This year on Whispering Stories, the wonderful reviewers on the blog, and myself, reviewed over 300 books, that’s some achievement. I had the pleasure of reviewing some spectacular books myself, from various genres including these five books that really did perk my interest, and keep me hooked from beginning to end.
I also had the pleasure of interviewing 52 different authors this year on our weekly interview slot ‘The Writing Life of:’. Next year you will find some changes to the interviews, it’s had a revamp. There is going to be different questions, and more of them. I have also added a fun section too, that should give you a giggle. I’ve already got lots of authors booked in.
Looking forward to next year, I’ve a few things up my sleeve, but not sure yet whether to implement them or not, time will tell. I suppose one of my goals for next year is to be a bit more social. I’ve found myself that busy this year that I didn’t give myself enough time to stop and converse with people, something I hope to change.
At the start of 2016 I set myself a few goals in terms of social media. All of which I smashed. But it couldn’t of been done without you wonderful followers. I am, as ever, truly grateful to each and every person who follows us, whether that be via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Goodreads. However you follow us, THANK YOU, for joining us on our journey.
Lastly I would just like to say a very big, heartfelt THANK YOU to the team of reviewers on the blog. They all work so hard, reading and reviewing books. Without them, this blog wouldn’t be a success, and I appreciate them all.
Sorry that this is only a short ‘Goodbye 2016’. Here’s to a brighter, healthier, 2017 – HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.
